Volta Celeste
Compagnia dei Folli presents Volta Celeste, an aerial show that transcends the boundaries of the traditional stage. Here, the sky itself becomes our theatre, and audiences are drawn into a deep immersion in the imaginary world of the many-shaped characters who inhabit the Volta Celeste. It is an experience that brings together aerial art, imagination and emotion in a single unforgettable event.
The journey begins with a touch of magic and good fortune: the majestic goddess Fortuna makes her appearance from a position a full 10 metres above the ground. From this moment on, a succession of fantastic visions captures every gaze. You will see the Sun and the Moon engaged in an ethereal aerial dance, their luminous figures intertwining in choreography that evokes cosmic harmony. Colourful birds float gracefully while strange flying machines chase one another in a kind of celestial carousel, as though powered by pure imagination. There are also fantastical pyrotechnic vehicles that illuminate the sky with flashes and trails of light, together with many other mysterious characters, each with a story to tell in the air.
This performance, which makes full use of the possibilities offered byaerial art, uses a crane for its most daring and spectacular sequences. The performers move with incredible agility and precision on ropes and cables, while other actors on the ground also use stilts, creating a dynamic dialogue between sky and earth.
The journey reaches its climax in the grand finale, when the Volta Celeste comes alive in a spectacular battle. Flying angels and demons compete for the privilege of leaving their image as an enduring memory in the eyes and hearts of the audience. It is an epic clash of light, shapes and movement, celebrating the triumph of imagination and beauty.
The aerial show Volta Celeste is particularly suited to events in public squares, open-air events and major celebrations. Like all Compagnia dei Folli productions, it is designed to be versatile and can be adapted to the different logistical and artistic requirements of the venue or event, always ensuring a bespoke, high-quality experience.
