In Dies

In Dies is a visual theatre show by the Compagnia dei Folli. It features the calendar year as its protagonist, with its intense, albeit brief, life made up of encounters with the characters that animate the months. From winter ice to carnival jesters, from the blossoming of flowers to falling August stars, and from the rustling of fading leaves to the cold of December when the tired old year finds itself facing a new, young and strong one, ready to take its place to give life to a new cycle of seasons.
The performance unfolds by staging the events that, month after month, lead the protagonist through an adventurous discovery of the characters, stories and sensations that colour and enliven the solar year.

Compagnia dei Folli, active in visual and street theatre since 1984, creates the performance using stilts, fire, pyrotechnics and pyro-theatrical machines in an attempt to represent the course of a solar year with all the symbols cherished by the ancient traditions of our culture. Masks and theatrical machines frame a performance whose protagonists are the actors on stilts, along with the dances and rituals brought to life through engaging music.
