Corteo di Luce (Parade of Light)
Travelling Parade
A luminous apparition moves through the streets, transforming squares, villages and historic centres into places suspended between dream and reality.
Corteo di Luce (Parade of Light) is a travelling parade by Compagnia dei Folli that combines street theatre, stilts, music and striking illuminated costumes, involving the audience in a poetic journey populated by fantastic creatures.
Opening the parade are two elegant stilt artists, dressed entirely in white, who are escorting a large air-inflated unicorn. Light and majestic, the unicorn appears to float above the audience, advancing through the streets like a creature straight out of a fairy tale.
The purity of the costumes and the movements of the performers create a striking image, capable of drawing the gaze and sparking the curiosity of both adults and children.
At their side appear two large luminous butterflies, which animate the route with elegant movements and small choreographies. Their illuminated wings trace shapes and reflections in the space, enveloping the audience in a delicate and enchanted atmosphere. The butterflies accompany the passage of the unicorn, bringing to life a procession rich in light, colour and wonder.
Guiding these fantastic creatures is a curious tamer on stilts: a theatrical and eccentric character who tries to lead the unicorn and the butterflies along the path.
Through gestures, looks and amusing interactions, the ringmaster becomes the common thread of the parade, engaging the spectators and transforming them, for a few moments, into part of the show.
The music envelops the entire parade and makes the show completely mobile, allowing it to cross streets, squares and urban routes without the need for a fixed sound system.
Corteo di Luce (Parade of Light) is suitable for festivals, Christmas events, openings, town celebrations, historical re-enactments, evening events and family-oriented initiatives. A visual and engaging parade that brings magic directly among the people and turns its passage into an experience to live, photograph and remember.
