Luna Bianca (White Moon)
Hot-Air Balloon and Acrobat
Luna Bianca is an aerial performance with a hot-air balloon by Compagnia dei Folli, a poetic vision that takes shape in the night sky. A large luminous white sphere, resembling the moon, slowly rises while an acrobatic fairy dances suspended in the air, transforming the balloon into a celestial stage. Through aerial movements and choreography, the audience’s gaze is drawn upwards in an evocative performance that brings together acrobatics, light and wonder.
This pale, moon-coloured balloon is not merely a means of flight, but an integral part of the magic. It rises gently and weightlessly like the moon itself, enchanting everyone who watches. But the moon is not alone; it is accompanied by its faithful guardian: the moon fairy. With movements blending dance and acrobatics, the fairy spins through a crescendo of wonder. She slowly descends, almost as if to touch the spectators’ hands, creating a moment of intimacy and connection, then rises again, moves away and waves gracefully, performing turns that defy gravity.
How much grace and poetry emerge from this performance! The moon fairy creates magic with every movement, enchanting spectators who remain open-mouthed, almost waiting for the next time she passes near them. Her appearance is a rare and precious event, a memory that becomes deeply engraved in the soul. Every performance is an ode to lightness, freedom and the ability to dream, making the balloon and the acrobat the protagonists of an unforgettable experience.
The uniqueness of this performance lies in the perfect fusion between the grandeur of the balloon and the agility of the acrobat. It is not merely a technical display, but a visual narrative that evokes ancient legends and childhood dreams. The soft glow of the volta celeste, combined with the fairy’s grace, creates an atmosphere suspended in time, where art meets the sky. Hoping to encounter her becomes a shared wish, because the moon fairy and her balloon always promise a moment of pure, enchanted escape from everyday reality.
