Incanto

Incanto is a fairy-tale stilt show by Compagnia dei Folli, a story of love, magic, and courage that pays tribute to the female figure.

The theme of love permeates human life and existence: its pursuit and enjoyment have always been told by poets and prose writers. The supreme protagonist is woman. In Incanto Compagnia dei Folli therefore wishes to pay tribute to women through a fairy tale.

Incanto is a delicate yet powerful blend of courtship rituals, battles, and magic. In this fairy-tale stilt show, the forces of evil take control of our hero, casting a spell that turns him into a warrior of darkness. His courage and loyalty are exploited in the pursuit of conquest and destruction. Only the tenderness of his beloved, chosen by the forces of good, can break the enchantment and bring love and happiness back into the young man’s darkened heart.

The story unfolds, increasingly firing the audience’s imagination, amid performers on stilts, fireworks, flaming swords and fairy-tale settings.
